I Background
A beautiful mind
It is a movie that I have been aware of a long time ago. It’s so interesting that it involves the theme of schizophrenia. It’s not a strange word to me as I grow up watching these films.
To my great surprise, this time watching the film gives me great inspiration on these psychological fringes and possible explanation to their adequate true manifestation in life.
II Truth about the personified illusions
1). Schizophrenia refers to illusionary inflictions on a person’s mind which often results in impaired abilities to lead a secular life, especially to an extent of deprivation of normal social contacts.
Based on my observation and experiences, combined with other psychological abnormalities such as personality split, bipolar disorder, depression, and so forth, schizophrenia among all of them may be an indication of a great leaping opportunity for an individual’s inner self and spiritual growth.
Surely it is not only of tremendous inflictions but also of great risks as of succeeding in confronting with the unusual push from a person’s inner world.
No pains, No gains?
Psycho problems are more than often triggered by deep-down shadows into which converted by external experiences, manifested as traumas.
All the hallucinations, disassociated personalities, paranoias or even outer fears, inabilities of actions or overreactions as responses to certain circumstances are angles, or rather pieces, or even extreme representatives of a complete human “integrity”.
They have common traits which are personified or turned objectified/concrete. It’s neutral, this integrity, not as good nor virtue.
2). If we look at a bigger picture, it is interesting to notice that all these traits reside in the map of human characteristics.
In common life, it is rare to expose what’s hidden under the subconsciousness of general figures, let alone have an opportunity to see the actual personified images of their characteristics.
Humans are on their way to evolve through experiences. It is a course of growth from the minimal range to the maximal level. It is a course to witness the increment of individual power.
The complete set of elements in the human hologram is designed to consist of dialectical factors. In common words, they are the good and the bad, the up and the down, the very visualization of yin and yang.
The pair of virtue and evil does stand out amongst them. These are repeatedly discussed in all various versions of myths all over the world.
Normally our mind, our consciousness won’t clearly be aware of the subconsciousness that works in synchronization, where the dialectical factors are embedded and function. Until the level of the internal surges reaches a certain extreme point, when the original mind-binding dam of the mind would burst, the individual will actively or passively be pushed to the front of confronting her/himself, with all the elements in her/his subconscious micro-universe floating up.
During this process, it would be easy to invade the individual as well. Because it is a time for a person to split their own walls of consciousness, leading to a possible breakthrough of achieving inner union between consciousness and subconsciousness as well as accidentally opening a backdoor for those with unknown intentions to sneak in.
III To what purpose to have a gift? Gift or Curse
I believe this transformational opportunity of self-union takes on various facades on the stage of self-confrontation.
People with extra sensitivities towards the universe would be the ones who easily get affected by this process, often resulting in the appearance of suffering mental breakdown or disorder.
Their sensitivities are gifts from heaven as visionaries in the mundane world. They could be bridges and media for communication between time and space.
That is also one of the distinctions for those who carry the spiritual spark, the birthmark of being a human.
However, one coin always has two sides.
With no adequate self-knowledge and ignorance raised more than common as consequences of modern “materialized scientific” education, the gift could be used against its owner. While being able to sense the transient, people in this genre would have an almost exaggerated presence of their own inner demons.
It could be possible that in order to be able to use the gift, one should understand who he/she is and to what purpose he/she is granted such favor from above.
Then one will need to choose, to follow their virtues, or submit to the evil side of oneself, where the latter always appears to be the best for the individual at the moment.
Selfish or selfless?
Egocentric or altruistic?
It could go both ways.
All the struggles are indispensable parts of self-elevation.
The gift is an ability or a burden, facilitating the preparation of this phase of self breakthrough, or turning you to chaos in real life.
IV The social context
There are problems entitled only under certain times.
That is to say, due to lack of clear cognition on the nature of mental break down by the public, without combining with the acknowledgment of spiritual growth, to form an integrated perspective on human life, people suffering similar problems could be limited to have no choice but simply take medications to numb their souls.
These limits, easily create a context that is required to negate oneself.
Self-denial is dangerous and close to the brink of self-destruction, including negating one’s so-called “evil” thoughts/sides.
And all of these are based on making judgments dialectically.
I mentioned earlier that people have to make choices because of the emergence of the subconsciousness in their inner self, the good and evil, the selfish and selfless, and the egocentric and altruistic. It doesn’t mean a life or death situation. Rather, the choice is to surrender the microcosm to the macrocosm, in form of surrendering your evil to your virtue, your ego to your selfless greater good.
The inner choice is in synch with your life choice, for instance, whether you choose to lead a healthy lifestyle or being drunk and party every day.
Merely suppressing people’s nature is no way near a resolution for a greater good.
These people, who could personify the abstraction inside, with their energies cleared up, their gifts properly guided and practiced, would be valuable assets for society. Their visions and senses could contribute in many ways.
Accepting the difference and helping people to be fully winged to fly freely in the world, is an advanced manner to progress human civilization.
Society is to learn to integrate the interdisciplinary knowledge of psychology, spirituality, and theology to help “patients” (awakening individuals) learn to deal with themselves, make choices, and how to interact with the world in their own way.
They need a school, not just a mental facility.
